3:12 p.m. - July 08, 2003 For those of you who were wondering, I did end up filling out a profile at match.com, just out of curiosity. Then I emailed cutie #1 and cutie #2. Well, cutie #1 wrote back right away, but I haven't heard from him since. :( I'm going to be optimistic and hope that he's either (a) busy, (b) a once-a-weeker when it comes to email, (c) on vacation. Cutie # 2 didn't write back to me (is there something revolting about me?) and my friend says good riddance; she didn't like him much anyway. Too bad. He sounded someone I'd like to get to know, even though I'm not sure about that whole dating thing. But I do need to make some new friends, and they sounded sort of cool. Cutie #1 is really funny and really cerebral, so I'd probably have fun talking with him, if he ever writes back again. Sigh. Anyway, I didn't put up my picture or anything. Then 2 guys--in the space of like, three seconds, messaged me. Of course, I couldn't get the message thing to work. So I emailed the two guys very boring emails (really short ones too), and they emailed me back. Stranger #1 sounds like a creep and Stranger #2, who looks like my friend's husband, so that's scary, is actually pretty interesting. I wasn't going to write back, but it turned out that we were reading the same book (Das Parfum: Die Geschichte eines Mordes/The Perfume: The Story of a Murderer). So one thing led to another, and we've been emailing just about everyday, just talking. Too bad he doesn't look like Cutie #1. Anyway Stranger #2 went to CWRU and was a football player there, if that gives you an idea of what he looks like. Real beefy, and Moose-type (from Archie) but much more intelligent. I probably won't email Stranger #1 at all. Today is my parents' 25th anniversary, so we're going out to see the Lion King (the play). I hope I like it. I hated the movie.
